Jon Guthrie

West Alabama Multi-Area Director

Jon and his family moved to Tuscaloosa after almost 20 years in Texas where he served as a coach, administrator, youth minister, and FCA Director. Jon has always had a heart for coaches and students and has seen every role in which he has served as a platform for ministry. This area of Alabama holds spiritual roots for Jon because of the years he spent here as a child when his father served as a pastor in the same community. Jon believes strongly that the coach and teacher can have the greatest impact on the lives of young people because of the power of their influence. Join with Jon as he pours into coaches and athletes in the West Alabama area to see hearts transformed by Christ. 

Serving alongside Jon are his wife, Shonda and children, Lucy and Henry.

Christi Franklin

Field Ambassador to Northside, Alabama


Christi and her family moved back to the Tuscaloosa area, after living in Birmingham for eight years. Christi graduated from The University of Alabama and played softball for the Crimson Tide. She and her husband, Stephen, stepped into full-time ministry and worked for Baseball Country for three years before she joined FCA. 

Christi loves coaching, but her passion is seeing young people know Jesus as Savior and Lord. She believes that sports are a platform to use God-given talents to reach the world around us for Jesus. 

Christi is married to Stephen and they have three children; Cora, Hudson, and Ford.
